what i do

I help people navigate the ever-changing, often confusing landscape of the Internet.
I build functional, user-friendly websites and mailing lists.
I help people get the word out.

That’s what I do, and I can help you do it, too.
Whether you need a hand wrangling some confusing
code on an existing website, or you need a whole
new site built, whether you know your email client
from your web browser, or you haven’t the
slightest idea what I’m talking about,
I can help you.

“how do you do that?”

By being multi-talented. And by being more attentive to the needs of the customer (that’s you) than the average web guy. I won’t build you some generic cookie-cutter website. I build custom sites that do what they need to do to facilitate your communication over the Internet. If you know exactly what you want, I can build it to your tastes. Otherwise, I can show you what your options are and help you get what you need. I can work with your in-house designer and just do the coding part of a project, or I can take up the slack with my own talents. If we need a specialist for something, I can probably recommend one. I’ve been in this business for 15 years; I’ve seen it all, and I’ve paid attention for most of it. I’ll take you from the idea stage to the finished product, with as few complications as possible.

“how much is this gonna cost me?”

Cost depends on what you need. I’d like to think I make $20/hour. In reality, I tend to put more hours into a project than I write down. I can build you a complete site from the ground up, that you could add and update content yourself for $500. And, I will give you preferred customer service and upgrades for the first year thrown in to help you get off the ground with your site. If you need something less than that, let me know and I’ll give you an estimate. I typically need a 20% deposit to get started on a project.
